# Track work and breaks

> Use the attendance clock or edit a daily time card, then fill empty scheduled days and make sure entries are sent for review.

**Attendance** records work and breaks in a daily time card. Use the clock while working, or open a day to correct its work and break slots before sending it for review.

## Track the day as it happens

Open **Attendance**. Use **Clock in** to start work, **Start break** and **Resume** around a break, and **Clock out** when you finish. Open the day afterward to check the resulting work and break slots. The time card shows their start, end, duration, and type.

## Correct or add time

Open a day in the weekly or monthly view. Use **Add Work** or **Add Break** to create a slot, then enter its start and end times. Review the order and duration of every slot and choose **Save**. If a day shows **Rejected**, read the rejection reason, correct the time card, and save it again. A day marked **Not sent** has not reached approval yet; open it, complete the missing information, and save.

If Worklayer says a day changed in the meantime, use **Load latest times** and review the current card before making the correction again.

## Fill empty scheduled days

When a work schedule is assigned, **Apply work schedule** can preview working days with no entry. Select the days to fill and review the proposed work and break slots before choosing **Apply**. Existing entries and time off are not filled over. If the action reports that every working day is covered, there is nothing to add.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Schedule targets and overtime totals can be incomplete when a date lacks a work schedule or employment details. Ask an administrator to review the attendance setup if the summary says it is incomplete.
