# Add Worklayer to an MCP client

> Copy the in-app setup and sign-in commands for a Worklayer MCP connector in Claude Code or Codex, using the correct server address.

The **MCP connectors** tab gives you setup commands for using Worklayer tools from Claude Code or Codex. Worklayer supplies the connector address for your environment, so copy its commands instead of typing a URL from an example.

## Add a connector

Open **Settings > Connected accounts > MCP connectors**. Choose **Claude Code** or **Codex**, then open **Add Worklayer to** that client. Use **Copy command** under **Add the connector** and run it in a terminal where the selected client is installed. Return to the dialog, copy the **Sign in** command, and run it in the same client environment. The client opens a browser sign-in flow for your Worklayer account.

You do not need to put your account credentials in the terminal command. The in-app commands register a named Worklayer connector and let the client manage its own sign-in.

## If setup is unavailable

**MCP connectors aren't available here** means the connector is switched off in that environment. If the tab says **Couldn't check availability**, use **Try again**. Neither state is fixed by inventing a different server address. If the connector is available but sign-in fails, return to the copied commands and check that you chose the same client for both steps.

## What this connection is for

An MCP connector is a personal way to reach Worklayer tools from your local client. It is not the same as connecting a company Slack, Linear, or other provider workspace under **Integrations**. Your Worklayer access still governs the records and actions you can use.
