# Connect Microsoft Teams

> Connect a Microsoft 365 tenant, install the Worklayer Teams app, and use its bot with each sender’s Worklayer permissions.

The Microsoft Teams company integration brings the Worklayer bot into direct chats and channels. It matches each sender to a Worklayer account by work email, so replies use that person's permissions.

## Connect the tenant

An administrator opens **Settings > Integrations > Available > Microsoft Teams** and completes the Microsoft 365 tenant connection. Install the Worklayer app in Teams and add the bot to conversations or channels where people should use it. Open **Tool permissions** to review sender matching, receiving messages, and sending replies.

## Start a conversation

Send the bot a direct message or @mention it in a channel where it is present. If the bot does not respond for a person, check the work-email match and that the bot was added to that conversation. If a saved agent needs to send a Teams message, review its own **Tools** and **Permissions** as well as the provider grants.

A personal Microsoft account under **Settings > Connected accounts** is different. That connection grants your own Outlook email and calendar access; it does not set up the company Teams bot.
