Attendance schedules and policies set the context for a person’s time cards and targets. An incomplete assignment can make target and overtime totals unavailable even while recorded time remains visible.

Prepare company settings

An administrator opens Settings > Attendance to review work schedules, time tracking policies, and overtime policies. Check the schedule a person should follow before assigning it. The daily time card remains the place where employees record actual work and breaks; a schedule provides expected hours, not proof of time worked.

Assign from the right date

On the employee’s attendance setup, choose Work schedule and an Effective from date. Review time tracking and overtime assignments that apply. The effective date matters: a schedule that starts after a workday will not give that earlier day the same target. Check the employee’s start date and relevant employment details alongside the assignment.

Verify the summary

Return to the person’s Attendance summary and confirm that Work Schedule, tracked hours, and target information appear for the period you expect. If the app says some dates are missing a schedule or employment details, correct the coverage before interpreting overtime or target totals. For a day already recorded, inspect the time card separately from the schedule target.
