Tasks > Requests is where an authorised reviewer finds items that need a decision. The Tasks view holds assigned work; switching to Requests avoids treating an approval as a normal task.

Choose the request

Open Tasks, select Requests, and choose the pending item. Its detail view shows the employee and the information relevant to that request type. Read the full record because the list row cannot show every balance, time slot, receipt, or certificate.

Review by type

  • For time off, check dates, day length, balance, conflicts, substitute, and a certificate if the policy requires one.
  • For attendance, check the work and break slots against the person’s schedule and policy.
  • For expenses, inspect the claim type, amount, category, travel details, receipt, and any policy warning.
Use Approve when the request is ready. Choose Reject and enter a Rejection reason when the employee needs to correct something. That reason is visible to the employee, so make it actionable.

If you cannot find it

You only see requests that your role can review. Check whether the employee actually submitted the item: an attendance day marked Not sent has not reached review. A request already approved or rejected will not remain in the pending list.
